WordPress/BuddyPress – Build AJAX menu so that the music player can continue playing.

I have a streaming music player on my desktop and mobile menu. I would like to have the menu system updated to an AJAX menu so that the music can continue to play as people navigate between the different pages on my site. A good example of this is SoundCloud. When users visit SoundCloud and start a song, that song continues to play even as the user switches between pages.

I have attempted to implement this myself with no luck. I can get an AJAX script working on a plain HTML site but there is something about WordPress that is different and I can’t figure it out.

I’m looking for someone to remote (RDP) into my DevServer, which has an offline version of my website and redo my top and bottom menu so that the music player keeps playing between page loads.

If you have experience working with WordPress, BuddyPress, JS, AJAX and are familiar with the way AJAX is used on a WordPress website please help. 🙂
