What we are looking for:

• A good research question.
• The Structure of your paper should be as follows:
• An introduction which is made out of an empirical puzzle which introduces your research question. This should present, in short, the topic of the paper and why the research question is important. In addition, your research question represents the way you are operationalizing your topic – what your paper seeks to answer.
• After your introduction, please add a short sentence saying how you plan on answering this question. This is also a way in which you can present the structure of your paper (e.g. This paper will answer this question by looking at a, b, …, arguing …). This should help you with both your structure and your paper’s flow.
• A General Background (context) to the question. Depends on the question you asked.
• Your research – can be in the form of an argument or a comparison.
• A conclusion which recaps the research and looks back at the research question (and hopefully provides an answer to it).
