Stock price retreiver database.

I need an application made that would scrape the current price of many stocks & store the info to a database. I’d like it to grab the current price of the stocks, and save it to a column with a timestamp being the header for the column. I would then wait a few minutes before running it again. Once ran again it would retrieve the stock prices and save them to a new column with a new timestamp being saved as its header. This new data would also populate a new column called “Gain” which would be the main column, displayed a percentage, ranked from highest to lowest.

I’d like it to track info on about 1000 stocks, could be more. Would display the top 40 gainers on the main page, ranked from highest to lowest percentage gain. Gain is calculate be dividing the latest ran price column into the opening price, which creates a percentage.

It will always be comparing the latest run stock price against the opening price, figuring the percentage then displaying the data from high to low to the screen. It really only needs to keep data for 3 columns, opening price, 2nd to the latest running, and latest price. The data does not need to be tracked beyond 24 hours, perhaps have a button to delete all data (not the stocks being tracked). Needs a fairly easy way of adding & removing stocks from the list being tracked, perhaps a .txt file?
