Position: Learning Management System “LMS” (College Assistant)
Job Description:
The employer an instructor at major universities is seeking a LMS College Assistant. This position offers broad exposure on a few Learning Management Systems utilized at different undergraduate, graduate, and certificate programs. A great opportunity to become extremely proficient with LMS instructional design, content organization and management, and delivery of course materials.
Duties and Responsibilities:
– Assist with the building or updating of courses in the LMS learning environment using content and guidelines provided.
– Instructional design include user friendly layout, easy to find course materials, etc.
– Content organization include syllabus, lessons, assignments, tests, surveys, videos, grade book, importing / copying course materials, etc.
– Delivery of course materials include announcements, forums, email / LMS messaging, syllabus, lessons, assignments, tests, surveys, videos, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
– A minimum Associate degree, or currently pursuing a Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Instructional Design / Education as a major.
– Proficiency in internet technologies and using web-mobile based applications
– Familiarity with the LMS such as Blackboard, Moodle, and Bright Space.
– Familiarity with editing documents, video editing, and MS Office software
– Knowledge of and experience using educational technologies
– Attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organizational skills
– Strong written and oral communication skills
– Good understanding of instructional design
Projected Time Requirements
– 3-4 Hours Upfront (Upload, transfer, and setup course materials on LMS prior to school semester)
– 1-2 Hours Bi-Weekly / Monthly for ongoing maintenance
– Spring Semester (late January to early May)

– Based in United States
– Work in Eastern Time Zone (e.g. New York City time)
