About the role

• Review documents to evaluate the variability of textual content and develop RegEx-based strategies to target elements of interest
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to:
⁃ Develop an understanding of insurance contract conventions
⁃ Define usable outcomes for the search
• Craft and maintain a library of regular expressions:
⁃ Describe the variability of the targeted element
⁃ Incrementally “chunk” documents to isolate the element of interest
⁃ Evaluate/monitor accuracy of the RegEx sets
⁃ Incorporate feedback from QA/testing and production use

About you

• Proficient and creative in writing regular expressions
• Attention to detail and strong pattern recognition skills
• Autonomy in gathering necessary information and setting quality standards
• Experience with R/Python or similar scripting languages
• Comfortable working on an agile team and curious about learning new things. You love diving into unfamiliar problems and are humble enough to make mistakes and iterate
• Enterprise software development experience and familiarity with relational databases are a plus
