NodeJS React API fix

I have an application running on the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, and Nodejs.

I have implemented an API, but it only works when calling the ipaddress:8000. However, it should work like this: https://mydomain.com/api.

The applications is currently running on Nginx. Most of the API calls that I make to the server work. There are 2 calls that don’t seem to work however.

TO SUMMARIZE:
Most of the API calls work fine, except some just return an empty object { } for the response. However, when I use the ipaddress:8000/api, I get the data returned properly.

Only apply for this fix if you are very well experienced with Nodejs, Express, and digital ocean droplets.
