I need an essay wrote by Thursday
After watching the two films based on Homer’s Odyssey, “The Odyssey” a made for television movie and “Ulysses”, an Italian older film starring Kirk Douglas, write a 4 page Comparison / Contrast analysis paper (essay) about this epic poem (Note- 4 pages includes Works Cited page, but you may make it longer than 4 pages). Both film links are on a page below in canvas. The Odyssey is a lengthy made for television movie based more in Greece and is the Greek version like Homer’s poem, while Ulysses is the Italian version and was made in Italy (in Italian-Ulysses means Odysseus). Again, both are based on the Odyssey, This part of the epic poem is a comedy (not a comedy in a humorous sense, but a comedy in that it ends well for the hero and is not a tragedy like “The Iliad”). Be sure to discuss the differences in the film versions of this epic poem. Be sure to include as subtopics information about the characters, plot, point of view, special effects, effect of the different versions of the films and etc. This paper should be in MLA format, typed and double-spaced like a regular composition.

This is an extended assignment, but don’t wait until the last minute to begin this assignment, as the films are pretty long. Be sure to take notes over each film. (Video Notes are 5 point for each film These can be handwritten and scanned or you may type them. Post them to the same assignment submit box as the essay but include them in a separate file as I will use Turnitin to check your essay for plagiarism). Video notes should help make it easier to remember what happened in each film. I do NOT want Internet notes about this epic. I want the paper to be an original comparison and contrast (likenesses and differences) of the two film versions assigned. Below is the documentation for the films, which should be cited at the end of your essay on a separate Works Cited page. There is a Narrow the Topic Prewriting Sheet for you to fill out as an assignment with your thesis statement at the bottom of the sheet. I will grade it , and post the graded assignment for you to look at. It should help you with your subtopics for the paper. So be sure to get it in on time. The Narrow Topic Sheet Assignment is due by Tuesday, September 28, 2021 and it is worth 15 points. It is located on the following page after this assignment. Be sure to watch the videos before doing the Narrow Topic Sheet Assignment. There are also some files in the class notes and websites listed on the Essay resource pages that may help you understand this poem better, especially the Spark Notes link. This 100-point essay is due on Thursday, October 7, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. Post the essay with the Works Cited page online in its submit box by the due date. Post your video notes as an attachment to this essay’s submit box by the same deadline. Documentation for both videos is below along with the links which are embedded in the Chapter 2 Module, so you will not have to go look for the correct videos, as I have already put them in that module. All of this essays notes and handouts are posted in the Chapter 2 Module by the Greek Epic notes. Be sure to read the file about the Greek Epic. It gives you the requirements of an epic so you can see if the two film versions meet those requirements. You may also discuss that in your paper.
