Genealogical research writing

In broad terms the role will be to undertake genealogical research and other takes to support their line managers so that they can perform their duties in the most efficient manner.

This unique and rewarding opportunity includes the following responsibilities:

• Researching family trees, including searching through genealogical records and other documentation. This can involve searching online or manual records as well as visiting record centres and archives to view original records.

• Interviewing family members and other relevant persons about their family history and / or knowledge of a family tree

• Ordering and reviewing certificates and other relevant documents to prove or progresses the research

• Updating solicitors and beneficiaries (where required)

• Assisting with ancillary services, such as divorce searches, probate searches and Will searches
