Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Game Physics Engineer to join our team to work on our latest game. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the game ball rolls and curves in a realistic manner, based on variable friction and the tilt/slope of the ground, to match defined real-world physics measurements. The role requires a deep understanding of physics principles, as well as experience in programming and game development.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement a physics model that will match real-world ball behavior
Analyze existing game physics and identify areas for improvement
Collaborate with other team members to ensure a consistent game experience
Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
Test and debug the game physics to ensure it meets the desired specifications
Optimize game physics to ensure high performance on a range of devices
Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or related field
Strong understanding of physics principles and their application to game development
Proficient in programming languages such as C++ and/or C#
Experience with physics engines such as Unity, Unreal, or Havok
Familiarity with mathematical modeling, data analysis, and visualization tools
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
If you are passionate about physics and have experience in game development, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity. We are looking for someone who can estimate the amount of time it would take to sort out and have a physics model that will match real-world ball behavior. Please let us know in your application how many hours you estimate it would take to complete the task.
