Enter a program for an old TRS-80 MC-10 Micro Color Computer
Project detail
Back in the 1980s, programs used to be shared in magazines to be typed into the end-users computer.
This project is to enter a long program into an emulator and deliver the save file for the program. The project requires some computer skills, or familiarity with old computers.
To better understand the project, I have attached a very short program “Computing Interest Earnings for a savings account”. Please try entering this into the MC-10 emulator at http://mc-10.com/ Entering ‘special’ characters like ‘+’ will require referring to the keyboard layout which is attached. In this layout, ‘+’ is the key to the right of ‘L’ and the shift key.
The project is entering a much longer program, “Cattle Baron”, ensuring it works and sending me the save file so I can run it. The text of that program is attached. Note that the number of spaces is important, and the line width is fixed at 32 characters which shows the number of spaces. It may be possible to automate some of the project using OCR software.
