crowdfunding marketing specialist
Project detail
I’m launching an edtech product on Indigogo or Kickstarter (TBD). The product is an inclusive science set (i.e. inclusive of girls). The set covers aspects of hard science e.g. chemistry & electronics and soft subjects such as ethics & scientific method.
The set includes female role models and works in a way that is designed to appeal to girls as well as boys (many STEM products today are “learn to code” robots that skew towards boys).
I need to work with a marketer with experience building an email list via social media, building community and driving engagement. Experience with charities focused on kids is a benefit. Primary countries are US, Canada, UK, Australia. Primary audience is female, 40 and over.
The target is to raise at least £15000 in the first week of the campaign (i.e. fully funded), representing around 250 orders. Therefore we’ll need a qualified email list of ~5000. If possible we’ll work to get a £1 pre-order from people to ensure higher conversions.
The ideal person is interested in education, perhaps has kids, wants to work remotely and has experience with social media marketing & crowdfunding including content creation. I don’t expect this position to be full time, perhaps 2-3 hours per day (depending on content creation). Some work everyday is expected to build awareness and the email list. The target is to be ready for the campaign over 2 months, and then work with my while running the campaign. During the campaign there will be some PR and community outreach work to do. Therefore the engagement is for ~3 months total.
I’m happy to work per hour, but I would like some level of shared risk. I.e. a lower hourly fee with a success bonus if the campaign is successful. Please apply giving details of campaigns you’ve run.
