build a simple sketch for arduino

have a 63″ wide drum sander with a table that needs precise speeds.
want to run table in one direction for about 120″ pause and reverse. need to be able to change speed of travel, pause time. need to be able to fine tune travel amount.

person who started arduino controls disappeared.
table is assembled, with a nema 34 motor 200 steps, DM860T stepper driver, 36 volts dc converter.
tried programming myself from library and get problems with overflow. ran OK but not enough travel.
changed from uno to mega board, still had overflow issues.

need to spend my time on marketing, rather than learning how to code.
will have other projects to automate material handling in coming months as we are dealing with large and heavy pieces that need to be loaded into jigs.
