Blog copy editor / web producer
Project detail
Copy-edit and format about seven posts per week.
We post about 7 articles a week to our blog. Each article runs from 750 to 1,700 words, averaging about 1,250 words.
The content is industry-specific, but not technical or scientific. It’s all plain English, written in a newsy style. We need someone to proofread each article for grammar, spelling, and AP style. (Chicago Manual or New York Times are also ok.)
And to work within our WYSIWYG WordPress production panel to drop in the copy, format the copy, tick off the right tags, add a headline, subhead, art, and prescribed links.
We’d send you a batch of articles in Word or Google Docs and you can work at your own speed, on your own hours.
We’d pay a weekly flat rate commensurate with experience and skills, ranging from $100/week to $250/week.
It’s a long-term, open-ended gig.
The website is cpatrendlines.com. It’s for accountants, but we don’t write about how to do accounting. We write about how to run an accounting business.
