BigCommerce Expert with Stencil theme

We need an experienced BigCommerce API developer to work on our Stencil optimized one page checkout. We need to collect an “excise tax” on our products and that tax amount is based on the qty purchased AND is unique to each state in the USA.

Ex. Customer buys 4 tires and shipping address is in California. We need to collect 4*$2.00=$8 as an “excise tax” at checkout. However we have to be careful as this additional $8 cannot be included in the sales tax calculation. The customer will be charged this extra amount as part of the checkout transaction, and we have to record this amount collected for each transaction to reconcile with payments we make through our sales tax service.
