Arduino code for a homemade glass forming machine
Project detail
I have recently completed the construction of this machine. This is my first time building a machine and my first experience with code. I’m good at figuring things out and good a building things but not at all proficient in math or science. This machine is designed to produce a small glass part that is in relatively high demand in the United States but in short supply.
This machine incorporates seventeen Nema 17 steppers, two mass flow controllers, a thermocouple, and a spark arc igniter. The main control board is an Arduino Mega 2560. Other electronic components on the machine are seventeen Big Easy drivers for controlling the stepper motors, two PWM to analog converters for controlling the mass flow controllers, a one channel relay for turning the spark arc igniter on and off, and a thermocouple.
In addition to fabricating the machine I have completed all of the wiring for the electronic components. I have also produced a pinout guide, a wiring schematic, and an English language “order of operations” guide which I am hoping can be rewritten by someone with expertise in Arduino code which I can then load onto the machine. As I said I have no experience or education in any of this so my explanations might be rough but I do believe the machine will work and my schematics, diagrams, etc… are legible and should prove useful.
I am looking for a bid or an estimate for this job. Ideally if I would like to find a skilled coder to write the rough version of the Arduino code for me following my “order of operations” document. Then I can receive the code and begin adjusting it as necessary. I have only done educated guesses as to what each specific operation perimeter should be. I will have to load the code onto the machine and run it many times making adjustments to the code until I can get the machine to work properly. At least this is how I envision the process working. Again I have no experience so my explanations or assumptions may be inaccurate. But I am willing to learn and adjust as necessary.
