I need a little help with datatables php/jquery

I have a small attendance system using datatables (datatables.net).
I have added a select dropdown and want to use the selected value to open the corresponding add attendance modal. Then have 2 more dropdowns in that modal for ‘subject’ and ‘period’.
Take a look at the code, and ask me any questions. It should be pretty easy for someone that knows their stuff.
