Medical device company seeking report from Business Analyst or Healthcare Finance/Access professional given recent CMS/OIG changes.

Project Description
Seeking an MBA intern to conduct some strategic analysis and deliver a detailed report on findings. The project will have the following topic areas:

Increasing top line growth – what are the opportunities for comapny to increase revenue by providing new services to customers
Consideration should be given to CPT codes which practices could begin billing or bill in a more efficient way by leveraging internal resources
Consideration should also be given to the suitability of company’s technology and human resources to deliver these resources
Define the opportunity potential and associated costs of offering these services

Value Based Enterprises – what are the opportunities for company to leverage the changes in to AKS rules to:
Reduce co-pays for patients
Increase coverage to non-medicare patients
Increase retention and billing coverage at existing sites

Time Requirements:
It is expected that this project will take approximately 100-150 hours to complete. A completed report is required within 2 months of project commencement.

Deliverables:
A project report covering the two main topics. The report should include the following:

1. Top Line Growth
-A list of all opportunities/codes reviewed
-At least 5 opportunities reviewed in detail
-HIgh level deployment considerations listed out for top 5 opportunities
-Financial modelling related to each of the 5 opportunities
-Recommendations for which opportunities should be taken forward

2. Value Based Enterprises
-Detailed review of opportunities at both a national level and existing deployments
-Financial modelling to show benefits/costs of different opportunities
-Detailed recommendations for opportunities to take forward

Candidate Skills/Experience:
-Bachelor’s degree
-Masters Degree or MBA desirable
-5-10 years experience working in healthcare environments
-Experience working in a healthcare finance/access fields a plus, but not essential
-Experience working in the pharmaceutical or medical device industry a plus, but not essential
-Strong computer skills and ability to use Apple/Microsoft/Google software suites
-Ability to work independently
-Ability to work and live in the USA
