Migration from Document Management System to Sharepoint

We need to migrate a Document Management System (DMS) based on SmartSearch (https://www.square-9.com/press-releases/smartsearch-4-0/) to SharePoint Online, using the native functions of SP for document management.

As a first step, we want a design of the solution to be implemented in SharePoint Online, describing the solution architecture and the migration strategy. For the latter, we require a closer look to documents metadata migration (currently persisted in a SQL database), to SP objects.

Candidates must have experience in SharePoint Online data architecture (content types, metadata), search customization and workflows in Power Automate.

For the development of this project, we seek fluent communication, where we could validate the design ideas so that the decisions that are made are agreed upon with the client.
