Writer on financial and professional services especially Sustainable Finance focused
Project detail
We need an article that will be published our Sustainable Finance campaign. So to support the overall message that the UK is the global one stop shop for sustainable finance solutions.
The specifics are around UK net zero industrial clusters– the piece is a thought piece for our website www.theglobalcity.uk – this is our overall promotional site where we try to tell a good story about the UK as a place for financial and professional services to do business, locate, invest and grow.
Article brief: Broadly, the position is that UK Gvt has led an initiative to evolve net zero industrial clusters around the country. This means there’s lots of co-located professional services expertise in these hubs making them a perfect partner to work with firms to scale global net zero solutions and help clients globally meet net zero goals. The UK is world leading in this approach.
We’re looking for a roundtable discussion to be written up into an insight article of 800-1200 words. It may be that there’s also a potential infographic in the content too. Either an interactive map showcasing the different clusters or similar, but that’s to consider. The technical design of an infographic would be with us rather than you (unless this is something you could help with)? We can work with our internal experts and you to shape a rough structure or outline for the article and the key points/questions to cover ahead of time.
Logistics: the date of the roundtable will either be 12th or 13th July – at a London Venue. The location and time are still being firmed up as well as which of the two dates – likely to be either the Guildhall, or possibly at the Oval. We would need a writer to be physically present.
The event will be under Chatham House rules, but there’s nothing to stop you approaching people who made interesting points and asking for a quote afterwards in the meet and mingle. Or subsequently following up via email. We would let participants know ahead of time if we’re doing this so they aren’t blindsided. We also have a couple of key industry partners who would definitely be happy to provide quotes.
There’s likely to be another of these sessions in Sept and a third in Oct (on different topics touching on UK professional services expertise and net zero) so we’ll likely want to follow same approach for these if it works for this one.
