Excel or Google Sheets automation

I don’t know if what I am looking for would work better with Excel or with Google sheets  but am trying to automate (as much as possible) an Excel sheet I use for quoting, booking and paying musicians for recording sessions. I have enclosed the sheet that I use for each project.
