Temporary Position for late January – February with Art Seminar Group
Independent contractor needed to fill a temporary position for a well-established arts organization of over 200 members in Baltimore Maryland. The timeframe would be late January
through February. Art Seminar Group provides art education programs both in-person and online on topics such as painting, photography, architecture, and music and in addition to trips -both local and abroad.
Our Administrative Manager is having a baby and we will need to fill her position for
a short period of approximately 4 weeks. The lectures are on Tuesdays and
occasionally on Thursdays from 1:30-2:30 pm (once a month). Weekly lectures are either hybrid (online and in person in Towson, MD) or online. The majority of the programs at that time are online. The candidate may be asked to provide a short introduction for our speakers preceding our programs. A period of Q&A will take place at the end of the program for about 15 minutes coordinated by the substitute.
In addition to above, other duties will include:
Assist with the AV set up supporting the tech at the venue.
Greeting members as they enter the facility or museum.
Email communications with members and subscribers.
Email communications with Co-Chairs.
Management of our online platforms such as our Vimeo platform and our Squarespace website.
Hours per week will vary from 10 – 20 a week (Typically 10-15). The compensation for this role is $20-$22 per hour. Most work will be from home/remote. Candidate will be compensated for travel time to any in-person programs.

Skills required for this job:
Zoom experience and knowledge of hosting – experience with Zoom Webinar preferred.
Experience with the following programs/platforms:
Constant Contact (email campaigns), Vimeo, Squarespace, Microsoft Outlook email, Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and Macintosh computers.
Candidate must have a Laptop available for use.
