Videographer for Zoom Live Stream in Minnesota
Project detail
We are looking for a friendly, tech-savy videographer who can help us setup and run (and record) a nice, smooth, good looking Zoom broadcast for a short keynote presentation on March 30th, 2022.
The broadcast is just one speaker, for two hours. Location is Bloomington, Minnesota.
The presentation runs from 3:00 pm to about 5:00 pm, Minnesota time.
Setup needs to be ready by 12:30 pm. Soundcheck is at 1:30 pm.
1. Gear
We need just some basic —but cool, and proper— stuff:
Please send us a list/pictures of what you’ve got: brand(s) and model(s) available.
— Nice video camera, and tripod.
— Video capture card to connect camera to computer, if needed.
— LED lighting: at least three separate LED panels (such as Neewer 660, or better), each with its stand and difusser. We prefer LED panels that can be run both with battery power and wall electricity.
— A full-spec laptop (16GB RAM, Intel Quad-core i7 or better. Mac or Windows), running current versions of Zoom and MS-PowerPoint.
— Professional wireless lavalier (or headset/headworn) condenser microphone system, such as Shure, Sennheiser, AKG, Audio-Technica or Countryman, plus similar spare unit.
— Fresh batteries.
— Two large (50”+) screens, positioned at eye level: one for the PowerPoint presentation (as reference to the speaker), plus another to show the audience.
— Audio monitoring (external speakers).
2. Production
The speaker will just, well… speak.
You will do the ‘technical’ stuff.
Framing will be medium shot: from the waist up. Just one angle. If the speakers sits, you’ll just need to adjust the camera.
The speaker will use his own laptop to show the PowerPoint presentation (in English) in one of the external monitors.
The Zoom meeting will broadcast from your laptop, including the (translated) PowerPoint presentation that will be shown to the audience.
You will be in touch with us via WhatsApp or Telegram during soundcheck and during the meeting.
We will provide the licensed Zoom account.
You need to also bring a ‘Plan B’ (such as a second laptop with a quality external webcam —or even an iPhone already configured as a webcam— and extra mic, and adapters), in case any piece of gear decides to start acting up during the live stream.
3. Recording
We are recoding the meeting in the cloud, but we would also like to record locally:
— Full HD recording of the speaker: one camera (one angle).
— Record direct audio from mic. Best to use an external recorder, with good preamp.
— No editing services needed. You will send us the uncompressed, raw footage.
— We just want to film the speaker, not the slides.
*To make sure you read the whole description please include the word “rabbit” at the start of you bid.
To be considered for the gig, place your bid before Wednesday, March 23rd. Include the following: 1. Samples of previous work (showreel, website, etc), 2. A list with the equipment you will use (models and brands).
