Looking For Long Term Work With An Experienced Video Editor For a Gaming YouTube Channel
Project detail
Hello,
I’m looking for long term work with an experienced and professional video editor (Premiere Pro only) for a gaming based YouTube channel with 1M subs that is currently primarily uploading GTA 5 related videos.
What is required:
1: Needs to be a hard working and motivated individual with a lot of free time that is willing to commit to learning and being trained to the correct video editing style and understanding what is needed. We’d be using a program called Frame.io (1m video on Frame.io – https://youtu.be/4CiJPxqsxSk) (Paid for) that syncs with Premiere Pro for easier communications and revisions on videos which makes the training process more efficient. If the time is put in, over time small improvements will compound and the videos will get better, this is why we are only looking for someone who has 100% free time to work on this job. This job WILL require a lot of time, consistent hard work and patience to get going right and smooth so please keep this in mind before applying.
2: Needs to be a passionate and well experienced video editor that truly enjoys video editing. This job is not for you if you don’t have a passion/enjoyment for video editing, we don’t want this to feel like or become a chore, you need to enjoy yourself and this has to be something you want to do long term (just like for any job you’d apply for).
3: Needs to have a thorough understanding of video editing (100% fluent with programs like Premiere Pro, able to to do anything needed, many years of experience etc) have a understanding of YouTube gaming culture and editing in gaming videos etc.
4: Needs to have somewhat of understanding about video pacing, pattern interrupts etc. We are not looking for these videos to be boring. These gaming videos require true attention and care, being edited in a style that holds a viewers attention until the very end of the video, a great percentage of a YouTube videos success comes down to a metric called Audience Retention.. otherwise know as how long a viewer watches a video.. so this is an extremely important factor to this job and will also be trained further over time.
Additional info:
– Payment would be on a per completed video basis.
– There would be no ‘written in stone’ amount of videos we’d create per month, however the minimum videos per month we’d be aiming to create is 15 videos every month. (Also could be higher like 22 videos, or could be slightly lower.. for eg 13 videos but we would always be aiming for a minimum of 15 videos per month).
Ultimately.. by hiring a video editor we are looking to completely take the stress off the creator so that he can focus solely on creating as opposed to hours every day editing and trying to do everything. These are the main goals: to free the workload for the creator, and be able to provide and maintain a consistent upload schedule for the viewers.
Thank you very much for taking the time to read through everything, and if you truly feel like you are the match for this job then I look to discussing this opportunity further with you!
