Side entrance makeover

I have a side slope yard besides the front entrance of my house where the soil is not good quality for the sod to grow not counting with the fact that it has poor irrigation since that area doesn’t have an irrigation system compare to the back yard we would like to change it to a more hard scale look combining decorative rock , perennials and a pathway to the back yard , trying to reduce the steepness of the slope aswell and have a transition to the slopped part of the backyard behind the fence which we wouldn’t like to be altered .
